CUTX SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY
1. Overview.
CUTX provides experiences on social media sites such as Facebook®, Twitter®, LinkedIn®, YouTube® and other media channels. These media channels enable online sharing and collaboration for persons who have registered to use those sites. Any content you post, such as pictures, information, opinions or any personal information that you make available to other participants on these social media sites is subject to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policies of the website you are using. Please review the particular site’s Terms of use and Privacy Policies to better understand your rights and obligations regarding any content you have posted on a site. The financial services industry is highly regulated, and as a financial institution, CUTX must follow the rules and policies described in this Social Media Policy.
Never disclose any financial information on any of the CUTX social media channels, whether publicly available or through a direct message to CUTX on a social media site.
CUTX will never ask for your Social Security Number, account information, passwords or PINs via Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube or any other CUTX social media channel.
CUTX is not responsible for the privacy and security policies or practices of the social media channels where we are present. You should review the individual policies for each social media platform.
2. Idea and Photograph Submission Policy and Standards.
CUTX and its affiliates do not accept or consider unsolicited ideas, including ideas for new or improved products, processes or technologies, product enhancements, advertising and marketing campaigns, promotions or new product names. Please do not send any original materials, suggestions or other items.
By posting comments, posts, tagged photos, videos, ideas, or any other content on CUTX social media channels, you are granting CUTX nonexclusive, worldwide rights to republish, redistribute, or otherwise use this content in perpetuity in any way we see fit. This grant includes, but is not limited to, the ability to use the material in marketing and advertising materials.
3. CUTX’s Association with Social Media Platforms or Channels.
Facebook®, Twitter®, LinkedIn®, and YouTube® and all other social media channels we may participate in are all third party sites unaffiliated with CUTX. CUTX is not responsible for, and does not control, these third party sites’ terms and conditions or their privacy or security policies or practices.
You always should use caution when posting, sharing or taking any action on these sites and on the Internet in general. Carefully review the privacy and security practices of all such third party websites and channels.
As a fan or follower CUTX presence on social media channels, you consent to receive news, company information and other dissemination of information by CUTX that we think our fans, followers, and viewers will find useful. If at any time you no longer wish to receive information via CUTX social media channel, you may utilize the individual platform’s privacy settings to un-follow and un-friend. CUTX participation on social media platforms or channels is not an effort to socialize information, ideas, and pictures. If you send us ideas or pictures, we own them, and you will not receive compensation. For additional information, please reference Section 2 (above), entitled Idea and Photograph Submission Policy and Standards.
4. Safety.
Your posts on a CUTX social media channel should never contain unauthorized and/or unsolicited advertising, fraud, spam, hyperlinks or content protected by copyright, trademark or other rights.
For your online safety, avoid opening any third party links, unless you trust the source. These links may pose a risk to your computer or take you to inappropriate or fraudulent sites.
5. Connect with Customer Service.
CUTX is unable to service account-specific requests directly through social media properties.
If you are a customer with a specific question about an account or loan, please log into your Online Banking account, call CUTX Customer Service at 972-263-9497 (Option 4), or visit your CUTX branch to speak to a CUTX representative in person. Contact information for CUTX Customer Service is listed on the contact us page of our website.
6. Public Usage.
CUTX social media presence and accounts are public, which means that anyone can see your posts and comments on these social media sites. CUTX is not responsible for views expressed other than our own. The opinions, statements and viewpoints expressed by participants on our social media sites --- including CUTX employees or partners – do not necessarily reflect the opinions of CUTX or constitute and official position of CUTX.
Additionally, your posts and comments may even show up in search engine results (like on Google or Bing).
When you visit, post, or comment on any of the CUTX social media channel, we ask that you to follow the below guidelines:
- Be kind and respectful of others.
- Stay on topic.
- Avoid content that may be fraudulent.
- Never post personal, identifying or confidential information.
- Do not post false information and do not post someone else’s copyrighted work unless you have permission to do so.
- Do not use social media to communicate or ask questions specific to your personal account or loan information.
- Do not post any content that is abusive, offensive, or inflammatory.
7. We reserve the Right to Remove.
CUTX reserves the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines or that, in our sole discretion, we consider objectionable.
In some instances, without prior notice other than this Policy, CUTX may suspend or block users that violate our Social Media Policy. When appropriate, we also my report certain violators to the relevant authorities.
8. Endorsements and Sponsorships.
CUTX occasionally may post links to third party sites or share content. Please note that this does not in any way constitute an official endorsement of the individual, website or company.
CUTX has many advertising relationships. Some linked third party sites may contain content from sponsors, or sponsorships, paid by CUTX. These paid sponsors may disclose this relationship on their websites or in their social media posts.
