What is the minimum account balance?
It's not much. Just keep at least $5 in your Share Savings Account to continue enjoying all we offer.
Do your savings accounts include fees?
Most of them don't, one does. For the Share Savings Account, you'll need to keep at least $50 on deposit to avoid a $5 service fee; otherwise, our savings account have no required minimum balance to avoid fees.
Keep in mind, if you make more than 12 withdrawals on any of our savings account, a $5 fee per extra withdrawal may be charged.
How much do I need to deposit to open a savings account?
We want to make it as easy as possible for you to start saving and strengthen your finances. For the Share Savings Account and Kids Account, all it takes is a $5 deposit to open the accounts. For Holiday Savings and Member's Choice, you'll need to deposit at least $25.
Is the interest I earn fixed or variable?
Interest is variable and may change with the prime interest rate.

*You will be eligible for a one-time match bonus in the amount of $120 on the first $240 in debit card roundups made to your Save The Change savings account each calendar year defined as January 1 through December 31. To qualify for the one-time match bonus: 1) You must be enrolled in Save the Change, 2) Cumulative roundup transfers of $240 must be made to your Save The Change savings account, and 3) All accounts and loans must be in good standing to receive the one-time match bonus not to exceed $120 per calendar year. Save the Change offers a 0.50% Annual Percentage Yield (APY). The APY is accurate as of August 5, 2020 ,and is subject to change. The bonus match will be credited to your Save The Change savings account the following business day after eligibility. If the account is closed or unenrolled from the program before the match is posted, matching bonus will be forfeited. Matching funds may be reported on IRS form 1099.

Credit Union of Texas Charitable Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) recognized charity by the IRS. Donations made directly to the foundation will be properly acknowledged and you will be given a receipt for your personal records. Our tax ID number is 87-1159287.
