ALLEN, Texas, Dec. 06, 2021 – Credit Union of Texas (CUTX) will relocate its corporate divisions, Texas Mortgage Lending (TML) and FairLease, to Allen, Texas. The move to their newly acquired office building at 415 Century Parkway brings the total number of employees in Allen to nearly 375. TML, a mortgage loan organization, and FairLease, an auto-leasing company, had remained at CUTX's former headquarters in Dallas when the credit union moved its headquarters to the Watters Creek Allen development.

The move will consolidate all CUTX corporate offices to Allen, which has been home to the credit union's headquarters at 900 W. Bethany Drive since 2019. TML and FairLease will officially move into the Century Parkway location in early 2022.

"We have been an active member of the Allen community for the last two years by forming impactful partnerships and investing in the community we are privileged to call home. Some recent examples of this include establishing the Credit Union of Texas Event Center and opening the student-run SMART Branch at Allen High School," said Eric Pointer, CEO of CUTX. "We look forward to having our entire support organization in Allen as we continue to grow in North Texas and beyond in underserved communities in rural parts of the state."

Earlier this year, CUTX extended its longstanding partnership with Allen Independent School District (ISD) to open a first-of-its-kind, student-run SMART Branch at Allen High School staffed by 28 junior and senior student employees. The full-service CUTX branch provides on-the-job training to these student employees and valuable financial literacy education through an adjacent CUTX financial literacy center, which is available to all students at Allen High school. The SMART Branch also offers turnkey banking services, including checking and savings accounts as well as loans, to all students, faculty and staff at the school.

In July, CUTX signed a sponsorship agreement with the Allen Event Center, home to the Allen Americans, Dallas Sidekicks, and the location for various regional and national galas, conventions and ceremonies. The agreement, which established the Center as the Credit Union of Texas Event Center, consists of a $2.2 million incremental donation earmarked to support the Allen Parks & Recreation Department initiatives through 2028.

“Credit Union of Texas has been a tremendous corporate citizen and we are thrilled to see them continue to invest in Allen,” said Dan Bowman, CEO and executive director of the Allen Economic Development Corporation. “Adding these new divisions and jobs will grow their already robust footprint and make them a leading employer in Allen.”
