I received a message saying my card was compromised. What do I do?

When merchants experience fraud, MasterCard will send us a list of CUTX members who have used their card with the affected company. This does not mean you have fraud on your account yet but there is a possibility that your card number was compromised. To help protect our members, transaction limits are put in place until you can get a new card. Please contact us to get a new card or visit one of our branch locations.

We also offer Debit Card Fraud Alerts. Debit Card Fraud Alerts will allow members to receive a text message to verify suspected fraud transactions with a reply of Y for Yes or N for No. Once a member registers their phone number they are registered to begin receiving the fraud alerts.

Members can also set up custom alerts for transaction types and dollar amounts. These transaction alerts are optional and may duplicate debit card alerts that have already been set up in Online Banking.

The following alerts are available:

  • Purchases over a selected amount
  • International purchases
  • Online purchases
  • Declined purchases

To sign up please log in to Online Banking, go to Settings & Alerts, then click on Debit Card Fraud Alerts.
